KA6U EME Expeditions

 KA6U Summer EME Roving Update  May 23, 2024 1400UTC I am planning now to delay my summer roving trip until the end of June. The plan is to visit most of the states east of the Mississippi River plus ND and SD. I will attend the Central States VHF meeting then drive over to the International EME conference. I plan to return to Florida after the EME conference. I plan to do activations from June 30 - August 6 with a break during the Central States meeting. Planned bands are 902 and 70cm with some 23cm for operators who are close to completing 23cm WAS. The plan includes operating from RI on 70cm.  I will not have a high power license for 70cm.  With an 8 yagi station to complete a QSO easily.  With good conditions 4 yagis may be enough. Frank Potts is taking his 70cm portable EME station up to Dave, K1WHS site in Maine in June.  Starting around June 5 K1WHS will be QRV from Maine for several months. This fall I plan to do some 2M roving also.  No dates yet. Peter KA6U
