KA6U Update September 3 - 1100UTC

South Carolina - Last activation for this trip

I am planning a short activation today in South Carolina

  • South Carolina EM92 - 2130UTC - 2359UTC 
This will be a short stop and because of the low Moon declination there will not be an EU window.

I may be back to this area September 17- 19 to activate SC and GA when the Moon is at high northern declination.  

Yesterday was a difficult travel day.  There was a 150 mile traffic jam in Virginia and it took 7 hours to travel 200 miles.  A combination of road construction and many traffic accidents almost certainly caused by people not paying attention to driving and texting on their phones while waiting in heavy traffic caused by people texting on their phones.

  KA6U Update - July 18, 2023 -  1130UTC Updated plan for Saturday July 22nd: Saturday July 22nd - MS EM43KH - 1700 - 1900UTC - 23cm and 70cm  Saturday July 22nd - AR EM43JG - 2000 - 2200UTC - 23cm and 70cm  There is a possibility that I may move the AR activation to Sunday July 23rd starting at 1800UTC. I will operate first on the east side of the Mississippi River in Mississippi and then cross the river into Arkansas.  I need 45 - 60 minutes to move the 70cm and 23cm stations.
