KA6U Update July 13, 2024 1400UTC Successful operation on 902EME from PA and OH on Friday. 70cm receive noise was too high at my location in the OH location. My 70cm station is receive limited. Normally I am heard well but with two antennas and Faraday, even with my switchable polarity RX is challenging, particularly when stations are running limited power. My plans for the next few days: Ohio - 70cm EME Satuday 2200UTC Indiana - 902 EME Saturday 2330UTC Illinois - 70cm EME Sunday 2000UTC (for EU) Illinois - 902 EME Sunday 2300UTC Illinois - 70cm EME Monday 0000UTC (for US if required) Note that the times are UTC. KA6U Update - July 7, 2024 - 0145UTC Today was a challenging day in RI and CT running low power on 70cm. This is the last low power operation! I was able to work a number of stations to deliver the hard-to-get RI state. Ian W6TCP is paper QSL manager. I will use LoTW also. Current plan subject to change: - July 8 - NH 70cm and 902 EME - 1700UTC - 2000UTC - July 9 - ME 902 EME and 23cm EME - 1800UTC - 2100UTC I will not operate on 70cm from ME. K1WHS - Dave has a good 70cm EME station in Maine. Connecticut operating location today. Note the high elevation. RI location was directly across the river, 1/2 mile drive. Temperature was 98F high humidity and no wind. I worked several 4 yagi stations on 70cm with low power. Took a while and 120D at times. I will run 500W for remaining 70cm activations. KA6U Summer 2024 EME Expedition I am starting the Summer EME expedition on Sunday July 7. My first stop is Rhode Island and Connecticut. I plan to be QRV in RI FN41bj from 1400UTC to 1800UTC on 70cm and 902 Mhz. I will be running low power on 70cm because of power restrictions in RI. When I finish in RI I will cross the river into CT. I plan to be QRV in CT FN41bj from 1900UTC until about 2100UTC. I will also be running low power on 70cm in CT.
